Our Story
Equality Education was developed by best friends Soleil Laurent and Arianna Rose, whose work with young people, families, and educators consistently revealed the same gap: students were being held to high expectations without being taught the emotional intelligence skills needed to meet them.

Through years of hands-on experience in schools, community spaces, and youth programs, Soleil and Arianna saw how challenges with emotional regulation, communication, accountability, and self-belief showed up in classrooms long before they became discipline issues. They also saw how educators and parents were expected to carry the weight without enough support.

Equality Education grew directly from lived experience and proven impact. With over 100,000 books sold and programming in hundreds of NYC DOE schools, we’ve worked with thousands of students, educators, and parents across the city - evolving from intentional youth work into a comprehensive, school-based model that builds stronger people, healthier environments, and lasting culture change.
